The weather fails to stop the racing.

A great card at Aintree and Paul Nicholls has claims in all three of the big races, but his best chance could come in the Beecher with Mr Appointment. This one is going for back to back victories in the race and is only seven pounds higher than last season. Paul can also land the big race at Navan with Officier De Reserve. He returned with a smooth success over hurdles and if his jumping holds up he should go close. Smart bumper winner Honest John is our other selection at Liverpool. Tom Tate's jumpers are in good form and this son of Alzao will know what's required.

Nobody won the jackpot yesterday and I was knowwhere near. It looks a little easier today so here we go. The opener is a bit tricky, Little Shilling, Catline, Great Compton and Storm Haven are the 4 against the field. In the 1.30 Beau Torero is the selection. He landed this race last season and comes here fit from the flat, Silvergino could be the main danger. Starluck and Latterley are the choices in the 2.00 In the 2.30 Scots Dragoon and Backbord are the obvious 2. The 3.00 is another toughie and Salhood, Leopold, Dont Ask Me and Good Old Days all have claims. Rawdon in the last is our best bet of the day. He was given an easy time on his return after being well backed. He is on a very fair mark and being relatively lightly raced, is open to more improvement. So the perm is 4 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 4 x 1. 128 bets at 10p... wish me luck.

But back for the start of the week. A big jackpot at Kempton today and so we have had a good look. The first race is very hard, with Supernouvere, Knock Three times and Dougie Peel three in with a chance. Mystic Art is our choice in the 2.10. Two very good efforts recently and looks on a decent mark. Another Mystic in the 2.40, Mystic Storm. Hasn't shown much this season but is dropping down the weights and is well in on best form. Princess Cagliari and Hillside Lad are two with claims in the 3.10 In the 3.40 Mutasb and River Kirov are our two against the field. In the 4.10 Dark Camilla and Ten Pole Tudor look set to run well.

On to Monday and Iwillrememeberyou in the 2.25 at Carlisle is our first choice. He is making his chase and seasonal debut this afternoon, but was rated 132 over hurdles and has no problem with the heavy ground. There are doubts about his main rivals on the going and so he could be the value. Akilak in the 2.55 must have a chance off this mark He is rated 133 over hurdles and did start well over fences.However he lost his confidence after making mistakes in subsequent races. If over that and back to his best he would easily beat these.

But we hope to find some winners today. At Kempton in the 5.30 King's Icon is down to a very nice mark. When with Marcus Tregoning, he was rated in the mid-eighties. Michael Wigham part owns this one and they have got his mark down in the 50's. There is definitely a coup in the offing and it could be today. At Hereford there could be a double for Alan Swinbank. He runs recent flat winner Ozone Trustee in the 1.40. A rare jumps runner for Bill Gredley and this 82 rated flat horse has been given a decn opening. Alan's second runner is Alto Stratus in the 3.40. She returns to hurdling after a spill last time out and she doesn'tn look badly treated.

So have concentrated on Doncaster and the first is Bryan Smart's Sadeek in the 12.25. He held on gamely last time out despite the saddle slipping and is open to plenty of improvement. In the feature at 3.10 Greek Envoy could go well at a decent price. He has dropped down below his last winning mark and ground and trip are ideal.

In the 1.40 According To Dick is expected to make a winning hurdles debut. Very highly thought of by the stable, he won a bumper at Cheltenham in great style and the fact that he goes hurdling so quickly is a tip in itself. One selection from Southwell, Another Try in the opener. Alan Javis's gelding shaped nicely on debut after a slow start and can only iomprove.

Have to continue working and doing this blog. Our first choice today is Kerayasi in the 1.30 at Plumpton. Gary Moore's charge ran well behind a couple of decent types on final hurdles run last season and has since shown great form on the flat. In the 2.00 Alderluck is an interesting runner. He landed a couple of decent bumpers and this ground and trip should be ideal for hurdling debut. In the last at Warwick Flirtatious is of real interest. She was backed for her debut but sweated up and never got in a blow. They have obviously been patient and this well bred type may do much better thuis season.

And so we have concentrated on this meeting. In the opener Puerto Azul is the selection. He is highly regarded by the yard and having just failed to stay 2 miles in bumpers today's trip could be ideal over hurdles. The 1.50 is a very poor race and Ours looks the obvious choice. In the 2.20 we are stuck between Soulard, Dont Tell The Wife and Lake Legend. In the 2.50 Hold Em looks the best bet. He was a very good hurdler and will no doubt have been well schooled by his astute trainer. Another tough race at 3.25 with Benetwood and Majorca our two selections. We finish with a nightmare of a race. I dismissed the bottom eight with little hesitation, the topweight North Walk is the obvious form horse, but I dont like backing horses with more that 12 stone. So in the end I was stuck between Mount Usher, Mucho Loco and Upright Ima.

A lot to look at, but we are concentrating on Wetherby. Paul Nicholls is always worth watching on a week-end and he could land a double with Mobaasher in the 3.00 and Turko in the 3.35. Both got a very good mention in the stable tour and Mobaasher's long term target is the World Hurdle. He ended last season on a high and can only improve. Turko puts in the odd dodgy jump but on his day he is very capable. In the 1.35 at Ascot Sentry Duty is our hopeful selection. A decent flat performer, he looked a star in the making over hurdles, but was a little disappointing after a smooth debut win over subsequent Triumph hurdle winner. However a mark of 134 looks very fair if he is back to his best.

A good start to the week, let's keep it going. Lookafternumberone is the first choice in the 2.10 at Yarmouth. James Given's charge is a model of consistencty and wasn't beaten far in a better race than this last time out. Daniel Defoe in the 3.10 is our second choice. Stoute's juveniles have hit form and this Derby entry will not have to be too special to win first time out.

But a poor run at present. We will try and turn it around this monday. At Leopardstown Rayeni could go close in the group three at 1.25. The trainer has his best bunch of juveniles for some years and following an impressive debut this son of Indian ridge can follow up today. In the opener at Leicester Bounty Box looks to have the best form on show. She finished fourth in a strong maiden at Newmarket last time and the horses that finished around her are rated in the mid-eighties. That sort of rating should be good enough to land arace of this nature.

He would have won with a bit more bottle, but nevermind it is national hunt time today. Old favourite Voy Por Ustedes has landed us some decent money and he should have the class to give weight away and a beating to his 11 rivals in the 3.15 at Aintree. In the opener On Raglan Road will be a short price but looks a top notch hurdler in the making. In the 1.35 we like the chances of Leac An Scail. Sue Smith's gelding is proven over this trip, likes the ground and is a on a decent enough mark.

Haven't had much time today but a quick couple of selections. In the breeders cup Square Eddie is the selection in the 8.55. He was sold prior to his impressive victory at Keeneland and the owner is very confident. Enact in the 3.55 at Newbury should also go well. Ran green on debut but was still a decent winner and can take this step up in class.

Let's see if we can keep it going on Tuesday. Our main hope today is Sand Cat in the 4.00 at Lingfield. Earlier this year Gary Moore's charge was rated in the eighties. He has run some decent races recently but isn't too consistent, and so his rating has kept on dropping. He should be capable of wiining off this mark. Straw Bear looks a good thing in the 3.10 at Exeter. A top class hurdler he will have been well schooled by his in form handler. One from Yarmouth as well, Midnight Fantasy in the 2.50. She showed improved form last time out to chase home a well bred newcomer and there could be more to come.

But we hope to start the week with acouple of winners. I looked at Bergo yesterday and thought we might get a decent price ior this one in the 2.20 at Plumpton. But Mark Winstanley has selected this one in the post. He says everything really, a four time winner on the flat in very good company and the stabel are flying at present. Khelef's Silver in the opener at Windsor is one that deserves avictory. Bryan Smart's charge has just been beaten in decent maidens on her last two starts and this doesn't look a strong event.

We are concentrating on the national hunt today with a couple from a great card at Kempton. There is a strong word for Saticon in the 2.2o race. Alan King's gelding was a top performer in France and if you can get 33/1 about this one for the Triumph it may prove good value at around 2.30. Tramantano in the 4.00 is our second selection. He ran well in some hard races last season, but he goes best when fresh and doesn't look badly treated today. Just one choice from Southwell Giant Love in the 3.15. We gave this one at the start of the season and he let us down. We missed him when an easy winner at Newcastle recently. He does seem to be a bit of character, but if putting it all in today he could go close.

In the Ces at 3.50 we do like the look of Liberate. Phillip Hobbs has a good recent record in the event and the selection improved over hurdles and could have got in here on a fair mark. In the Rockfel at 4.25 Sir Michael's Purissima is the selection. She was very impressive on debut, despite running green and will come on a bundle. In the 4.00 at Cheltenham Strong Rebel could go well. He was impressive in apoit to point last season and landed his bumper in good style. The fact that the trainer pitches him straight into a hurdle suggests he could be decent.

We have a couple of hopeful runners today. Kiwi Moon in the 1.40 at Leicester coul;d go well at a big price. Bryan Smart has high hopes for this son of Nayef and having run very green on debut he should improve leaps and bounds. In the 2.10 King's Song is an interesting newcomer. He is bred to get a lot further, but this is a stiff seven furlongs for a juvenile and he may be up to winning first time out.

There is an interestinng runner in the 2.40 at Kempton, Tom Dascombe's Going Going Gone. He is quite nicely bred and was quietly fancied on debut. However he reared in the stalls and never had a chance. It was asimilar story on his second outing and today he has the headgear. If it does the trick he could go well at big odds. In the 3.10 race Lake Windermere could have got in here on a fair mark for her handicap debut having won her maiden in good style.

Three meetings in the UK but the best bet seems to be at Limerick. Paul Nicholls sends out Dear Villez in the Munster National at 4.15. The six-year-old made a bit of a dodgy start to his chasing career, but improved leaps and bounds and could be even better this season. Cold Quest is an interesting runner in the 3.20 at Bath. He looked a top class juvenile but then something went amiss. He has been gelded and if that brings him back to his best he will be hard to beat. Capucci in the 3.45 at Goodwood is our third choice. John Gosden's charge has disappointed on his last two runs, but his previous victory was gained in good style and if settling better could go in again.

A couple of selections today, the first is Kite Wood in the 3.30 at Ascot. He is veryu highly thought of and already hads a 16/1 quote for next year's Derby. He won well last time out and more improvement should follow. In the 4.05 Ladies Best could be on the way back. He has lost his way a little since moving to Cumani but ran a decent race last time out and would go close on his best form.

A couple of placed efforts to start the week, let's do better today. the first choice is Chantilly Dancer in the 3.00 at Catterrick. Mark Wallace's charge ran well on her turf debut but disappointed on soft last time out. With ground back in her favour she can go close on her handicap debut. If Spirit Of Adjisa can overcome a wide draw he could go close in the 5.00. He wasn't beaten far in a better race at Goodwood last time and is two pound lower.

Bread and butter stuff today, but we do like a couple at Pontefract. The first is Big Apple Boy in the 2.40. Jedd O'Keeffe's colt was an impressive winner over course and distance last time out and doesn't look harshly treated for handicap debut. In the 5.10 Etosha is an interesting runner. This superbl;y bred colt has had a few training problems but if sound he could go close in what looks a fairly weak affair.

It could be that Zarkava is a wonderhorse and it would be great to have one. But I think the value lies with Youmzain. Mick Channon's stable star beat Soldier Of Fortune at Saint Cloud last time out and once again has ground conditions in his favour. He ran well in last year's event and looking at the relative prices of the O'Brien runner and the selection there is no doubt where the value lies. In the 1.15 Overdose looks the interesting runner. He beat four previous Group one winners in his last victory and he could be ready to take on the cream of Europe. In the 1.50 Again can enhance her 1000 Gns claims. She is improving with each run and goes on any ground.

The first leg of the Autumn double today at Newmarket at we fancy Indian Days will go close. Trainer James Given believes today's ground and trip are ideal and he expects a big improvement on recent runs. We have heard that Total Gallery is strongly fancied by the yard in the 3.00 at Redcar. He only has to repeat his best efforts to score today.

In the Cheveley Park stakes we like the look of Adorn. She absolutely bolted up at Kempton and the trainer has a very good line to juvenile form. In the Middle Park we are siding with Finjaan. Marcus Tregoning's colt was impressive in the Molecomb and more than most , is open to quite a bit of improvement.

A couple of Gosden runners today. The first is Wartime in the 2.35 at Newmarket. This nicely bred type was given a gentle introduction and should improve leaps and bounds. Gosden may win the first as well but can't pick between the three, and he should land the 2.45 at Goodwood with Star Rocker. His penultimate run was decent and with ground in his favour again he should collect over this longer trip.

Nothing jumps out at us today but we do have a couple that may go well. Rocker in the first at Nottingham has astrong chance. gary Moore's charge was just pipped at Brighton last time and this does look slightly easier. In the 5.30 Kangrina has to be considered. You have to ignore her last effort but prior to that her handicap form was pretty solid.

As we were disappointed to miss Minority Report. There is an interesting newcomer at the Curragh this afternoon, David Wachman's Lagoon in the 3.45. She is superbly bred and is entered in some top races next season, including the Irish Oaks. Nearer to home we have one selection at Warwick Chateauneuf in the 2.10. Barry has his string in great form and this well bred juvenile should improve on a debut run.

Missed out on a 33/1 winner yesterday, but nevermind let's have alook at Monday. Some decent fields at Brighton and La Famiglia looks to have asolid claim in the 2.50. Henry Candy's charge ran freely last time out but wasn't beaten far over 7 furlongs. The drop in trip should be ideal. In the 3.50 Outside Edge looks the value against the likely favourite Gulch's Rose. His best form came over this trip last time out and he can reverse earlier 7 furlong form with the Noseda runner.

But our first selection is across the water at the Curragh, Sea The Stars in the 2.20. He is beautifully bred and cruised to victory last time out, there should be plenty more to come. White Deer is our pick in the 5.50 at Musselburgh. This one, along with stable companion Minority Report, is really well handicapped at present and the selection looked on the way back to form last time out. Sir Gerry could go close in the 3.15 at Ascot. James Fanshawe's charge has shown a liking for this track and only has to repeat his third at the Royal meeting to collect this afternoon.

We passed over a couple of shortish priced winners yesterday, but we have to go for Tamayuz in the big one at Ascot. He is improving at a rate of knots and won in great style last time out. John Dunlop doesn't hurry his juveniles and Fallen In Love has been brough along steadily, she could be ready to strike today. Not My Choice is our choice in the 5.10 at Chester. There have been valid excuses since his course and distance success and if he gets out today he could take some catching off his new mark of 83.

There look to be a couple of good things at the Berkshire track today, Pennys Gift and Crystal Capella, but no value and so we will put up Meneur in the 5.05 as the blog horse. Gary Moore has three entered and this one should be set for a good run following a fair effort last to time when still acclimatizing. In the 3.10 at Haydock we do like the breeding of Oasis On Island. Smarty can get one ready first time out and with so many top stables with runners he could be a decent price.

Our local track has some tricky races today but we do like a couple of runners. Bryan Smart's Striker Torres could go well in the 3.00. He was quite an expensive purchase for the yard, was well backed on debut and should improve on that promsing fourth. In the 5.30 the best handicapped horse by far is Byron Bay. He wasn't beaten far in a class 3 handicap back in May and has a 17 pound lower mark this afternoon.

A few big priced selections today. Probably more hopeful than confident with our first choice Prince Of Light in the 5.20. Mark Johnston's charge has dropped so far down the weights since a very good effort iin the Zetland Cup. If anywhere near his best he would beat these. In the 4.20 Secret Night is another on a decent mark There were excuses for her last two defeats and on earlier season form she does hold strong claims. In teh 4.30 at beverley Shaloo Diamond could be the best bet. He was successful in a stronger race during the summer and will appreciate any cut in the ground.

The feature race at Yarmouth is the 4.30 and Melodramatic has a chance in this wide open race. She ran third over this trip at Newbury on similar ground and the form has worked out well. The trip could be a valid excuse for her last two poor efforts. Jemimas Art in the 5.20 at Beverley is our other selection. She has disappointed a little, but her Newcastle victory in august reads very well and she could go close.

Sorry for th break but computer at home was knackered-should be okay now. Our first choice today in Invincible Force at Haydock. He is joint top-rated and has run some solid races this season. the ground shouldn't be a problem either. In the 4.20 at Lingfield we like the look of Anosti. He was a decent performer last season and looked on the way back last time out.

The rain is making it diificult gain and so the main selection is at Fontweel where we do have decent ground. Woolfall Treasure should be a short price in the opener but on flat ratings he should be able to beat these. Gary Moore does well with lesser rated horses and the stable are flying at present. In the 4.10 Sister Agnes could certainly win this at her best. The ground can be the excuse for her last two efforts and if the rain stays away she could go well off a mark of 86. At Thirsk Windjammer is on a very tempting mark having been successful off 62 back in June. The ground is a slight concern, but he can't be ignored off this weight.

And we have two selections at the Sussex track. In the opener we reckon Gary Moore's She's So Pretty should go close. Much better suited by this longer trip, she will appreciate the ground and is down to a winning mark. In the 4.20 Isabella Glyn should step up on her promising juvenile debut. She will like the trip and the ground should be ideal.

Although there is afascinating maiden at Lingfied, the 4.10. The Godolphin newcomer is nicely bred but so is Sans Frontieres. This expensive purchase has a string of big race entries and hails from a stable well known for getting them ready first time out. In the 5.20 at Hamilton Until When is our second selection. Bryan Smart's charge has been runninmg well since dropped back to this trip and this looks a weak affair.

Excellent stuff for a Sunday and we will have a look at the Curragh in a moment. First of all a couple of Stoute runners to watch for at Folkestone. Sir Mike has a 40% strike rate at the track and he runs four today. You can give all of them some sort of claims, but our main choice is Dixie Dean in the 5.40. This well bred type has shown enough in maidens to suggest he can go well off this lowly mark. In the 4.10 My Superstar could be the one to be on. The step up in trip should suit this well entered filly who looks certain tio improve. In Ireland we like the look of Zero Tolerance in the 4.45. The old timer bounced back to form with an easy win last time and if in the same mood will take some beating.

It is not a bad card at Great Leighs and Kevin Ryan could have a good day. In the first he sends out Pegasus Dancer who has put in some solid efforts in defeat this season. He likes the all-weather and this is the weakest event he has contested this season. Wallonia in the 4.30 should also go close. The ex French runner made a winning British debut, is on a fair handicap mark and can only improve.

Desert Phantom is our first choice in the 3.35 at Ripon. This Dewhurst entry beat two previous winners in great style and can go in again. Cave Lion in the 5.40 at kempton is our second choice. This lightly raced type didn't do too badly last time out and is open to further improvement.

You miss a few days of studying and it makes it more difficult. So our tentative choices today are...Donativum in the first at Yarmouth, will be short but looks a class above these rivals. In the 2.45 at Goodwood Siren's Gift looks on a decent mark. We have selected this one in the past and her good effort in the Stewards Cup suggests this track suits her. Crystal Cappella looks a handicap snip in the 3.20. She comfortably landed adecent handiocap last time out and should defy a 13 pound rise. King's Counsel in the 2.30 could go well at decent odds. Bryan Smart's charge has looked very green in two races to date but hasn't fared too badly. The soft ground may bring out improvement.

And a busy old day today. Winker Watson is an old favourite and must have strong claims in the 3.05 at Newbury, having run well at Goodwood on his return. In the last at Newbury Lundy's Lane is of interest. He ran some good races in defeat last season and dropping to a mark of 95 he could go close if fit from a holiday.

Not with winners, but with updates. Anyway we can take a look at Friday's action. Only 11 races to go through at Newmarket. We reckon Captain Gerard could go close in the 3.o5. It wasn't a bad effort in France last time out, he's an improving type and not too far off the best. Bauer almost did us a favour last time out and looks to have agreat chance in the 3.25 at Newbury.

Unbelievable, more thirds. I hope the guy who backed all our selections for aplace is still doing it. No York again on Wednesday so over to Hamilton. In the 4.15 Mystical Ayr looks to have a great chance. She ran a decent race last time and with the 7 pound claimer on board she should reverse the form with the winner. In the 5.20 it could be a nice day for Eton Rifles . He was well beaten in a much better race at York but should be better suited by today's ground and will improve.

Two thirds on Monday, so we are getting closer. A shame about York today, but we have a couple from Brighton tio consider. In the 2.35 Billy Hot Rocks looks to have been found an easy task. He has contested some decent maidens and handicaps this season and should be up to winning a seller. Limelight in the 4.20 should improve for seasonal run. She was slowly away on that occasion and in the end did well to finish third.

No luck on Sunday, let's see what we can do today. My namesake David Pinder has an interesting runner in the 5.00 at Lingfield, Golden Brown. This one has been dropping down the weights since winning off 55 last season. His penultimate run has worked out well and he could go close at decent odds. It is not often I will be saying this but David could land a double today as Adage looks to have strongh claims in the 3.15 at Wolverhampton. The form of her last run has been franked by Squirtle and she does like it around here.

But computer at home is duff. Although i don't think we would have picked many winners. Once again the rain will make it difficult today. However we do like the look of French Riviera in the 3.00 at Bath. Being by Montjeu he should handle the softer ground and if repeating his debut effort he would easily beat these. In the 4.30 there could be more to come from Perfect Star. She progressed well last season and she regained the winning thread last time out. Ground looks to be ideal and she should go in again.

Now for Monday. We like the look of Beetuna in the 6.30 at Thirsk. He is well treated on juvenile form and could be spot on now following two races since coming back from Dubai. At Windsor Rum Jungle still looks on a decent mark following a handicap win at Newmarket and should have no problems with the slower ground.

That's our excuse and we are sticking to it. On Sunday we have acouple of interesting selections. The first is anewcomer in the first at LeicesterKite Wood. Michael Jarvis is a master at gettuing one ready first time out and this superbly bred colt can take this before moving on to better things. In the n4.40 at Redcar Snowy Indian looks to have been found an easy opportunity by Sir Michael. She ran some good races in defeat last season and is steadily improving this term.

Now for a busy week-end. The Shergar Cup meeting as usual is very tricky but Little Pete could go well in the 2.20. Andrew Balding's charge is trying this trip for the first time but has been very consistent. If he lasts out he should be thereabouts. The form of Oriental Rose has been franked by fellow dead-heater and she can go in again in the 2.25 at Redcar.

Hope we can continue today. In the last at newmarket Glasshoughton could go well at a decent price. The Michael Dodds trained runner has been very consistent recently and is certainly capable of winning off this mark. In the 8.35 at Haydock Amber Queen looks a good thing. She won her maiden very easily and the runner up has franked the form with a good run in a handicap last time out.

missed out on wednesday, but everything ok today. In the 4.10 at Haydock Woodcutter looks fairly well treated on handicap debut following an impressive maiden success. Ascot Lime almost did us a favour last time out and this steadily improving type should win the 7.55 at Sandown.

Didn't expect that sort of price. Let's see if we can find something at a bit bigger price today. Our first choice is Sultans Way in the 2.30 at Catterick. Paul Cole is arare visitor here and this expensive purchase ran well at York on debut, just tiring in the final furlong, he should do better today. In the 5.00 we like the look of Bohobe. James Given's charge won here last season and has been running well without troubling the judge. After being given an original mark of 74 she is now down to 62 and should go well.

Hopefully we can turn things around. Emperors Well is on a fair mark in the 6.15 at Carlisle. The drop back to a mile should suit and it looks a very weak race. Acquiesced will be short in the 6.30, but with none of the newcomers having fancy entries, or costing a lot, she should easily land this affair.

What a poor week, not one winner at the Sussex track. Time to get back on the winning trail, hopefully with a couple today. In the 2.20 at Chester we like the look of Flintlock. John Gosden's juveniles are needing one or two outings to come to the boil and this one has shown promise already and could be ready to strike. In the 3.50 at Newbury Playful has been running very well in slightly tougher races and may be good enough to gain an overdue success.

No Goodwood winner yet......but we will keep trying. Today we like the look of Galactic Star in the first. he hasn't really shown his true ability this season, but progressed well last tern and on his best form would take a deal of beating. Dream Theme in the 2.50 could go close at big odds. A typical Nicholls horse, dropping down the ratings after showing some promise, he could be ready to strike. Dandy also has a chance of landing the 5.50 with Cape Vale. He wasn't beaten far in a hot contest last time out and this looks easier.

Not easy to find the winners at Goodwood so far. But we have a couple for Thursday, the first is Moorhouse Lad in the 2.50. He progressed nicely last season and was in need of a recent return. He loves it around here and should go well at a decent price. Romana Chase in the 4.05 is our second choice. He is much better off with a lot of these on earlier running and his run behind Conduit is beginning to look decent.

The second selection is Lee Miller in the 4.40. A typical Cumani three-year-old, improving with each run and handicapped to go very close.

Nevertheless some terrific racing and our first selection is Arabian Gleam in the 3.30 Jeremy Noseda's four-year-old ran well in this last year and hasn't done badly in a couple of group ones this year, he could be ready to strike. The second choice is Run For The Hills in the 5.50. John Gosden's juveniles are in need of their first outing and this one showed plenty of promise first time out. He should justiify his entry in the Middle Park.

Must have forget to press update. Never mind let's concentrate on thursday. The forecast price of 11/2 for Art Correspondent in the first at Sandown is a joke, but he should go well. He was very green on debut but ran on well and will know more about it today. Another short priced runner with strong claims if Visions Of Johanna in the 3.55. The form is working out well and there are doubts about the Stoute runners at present and they supply the main danger. In the 4.30 Hunting Country is very progressive and can go in again having slaughtered a similar field last time out.

Now what about today. There will be 1/4 of a million in the pool at Salisbury and here are a couple that could go well. Del Mar Sunset is the first in the 4.05. He ran a blinder last time out behind Hunting Country and the form has been well advertised since. Ethaara in the 4.40 is a well bred newcomer. Looking at the main opposition they all seem to come out with ratings in the mid-seventies and so Willie Haggas's charge only has to be slightly above average to take this.

Although started well with the first two winners. We have a couple of selections from the Jackpot card at windsor tonight but our first runner is Jobe in the 3.00 at Ayr. Kevin Ryan's youngster is superbly bred and cost 410 thousand dollars. Just so long as he doesn't drift in the betting he looks the one to be on. Windsor's card does look tough and I will probably leave the jackpot alone. However we do like the look of Missie Baileys in the 6.50. She has won twice at this track including a course and distance win in a slightly better race. Mamlakati in the 7.20 is our final choice. Richard Hannon's charge went through the breeze up sales at 150 thousand guineas. It is rare to see such an expensive juvenile in the yard and she could be special.

That is not good enough, let's see what we can do today. I think the jackpot at Redcar is quite "gettable" today and so I have 4 tips from the Cleveland track. The first is Bryan Smart's Courageous in the 1.50. This one cost more than the rest of the field put together and the stable are bang amongst the winners. In the second leg stuck between Mohanad and Quatermain so no blog slection. In the 2.50 Old Romney is an interesting runner, having been rated in the 80's a couple of years back and he did show signs of a return to form last time out. In the 3.20 Handsinthemist has been beaten by two progressive types recently and must have chance against this more exposed types. In the 3.50 Little Jimbob nad Tufton could fight out the finish. In the 4.20 First Order looks the one to be on. He was staying on well over five last time out has dropped another pound and has the assistance of Tom Eaves, who prefers this one to Prince Hamlet.

At Newmarket Decameron could go in again in the 3.05 . Stoutey's charge won with a little bit in hand last time out and there could be more to come. Bankable looks a good thing in the 430 at Newbury. Cumani insists this is agroup horse and he can be forgiven his defeat in the Hunt Cup from a bad draw.

Our other selection is Ed Dunlop's newcomer Demeanour in the 1.30 at Newbury. She is related to some very nice horse and holds some very good entries.

Some good cards to look at but nothing appeals in the afternoon. In the 8.20 at Sandown we will have to side with Ascot Lime. Many past selections have been popping up and we will keep faith with this well bred colt who doesn't look too badly treated on handicap debut. In the 7.05 at Doncaster the Gary Moore trained Queen Of Thebes could go well. She was quite impressive on her debut and the form has been boosted.

A couple at Kempton this evening that catch the eye. In the 6.50 Kempton Calypso Prince could have got in here on a very nice mark. He showed improved form last time out, should enjoy the extra furlong and I have been verty impressed with the jockey. Greystoke Prince was a little green last time but got the hang of things late on to win by two lengths. He should follow up in the 8.50.

Monmartre was the most impressive winner of a group one that I have seen for a while and the Arc now beckons. Back to the bread and butter of Tuesday. John Best keeps popping up with big priced winners and Ruff Diamond may go well in the 3.45 at Beverley. He has contested some decent enough races and has looked like an out an out stayer. Old favourite Gala Sunday has a lot going for him in the 4.45 and can give Serena another success.

At Longchamp we have a terrific contest at 7.20 with my Epsom and Curragh Derby selection Curtain Call in action. I think he will run well but preference is for Monmatre. He cruised to victory last time out and there could be more to come. On home soil AP could have a good afternoon at Newton Abbot and Akram stands out in the 4.20. He has a big rise in the weights but won with ease last time and can go in again. Charlie Allnut in the 4.40 at Ayr is our third selection. He has been noted staying on late in his three races over shorter and gets in here on a very reasonable mark.

At York we like Spinning Lucy in the 2.45. the Barry Hills trained filly has struggled over a mile but showed plenty of dash over this trip as a juvenile. We will stay with Barry in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket and select his Giganticus. He's not the most consistent of performers but has dropped to a fair mark and has won big races in the past. Old favourite Dingaan runs in the 4.10 at Ascot and with a little bit of luck in running he could gain an overdue success.

Nice to have a big priced winner at last, although it should never have been that price. It is very difficult at Newmarket on Wednesday but we have a couple at a price that may run well. In the opener Gone Fast is dropping into handicap company after taking on some decent types. She looked a real star on her Windsor victory last season and if she still has that ability who knows. Wigrams Turn in the 2.00 is well treated with some of these and the first time visor may bring out a bit more improvement.

Tempted to have a go today and so the selections are from my local track. If the ground doesn't dry up Rosabee could go close in the 2.30. She ran a blinder on soft ground behind a subsequent Listed winner and could be well treated with a mark of 67. Johnmanderville, Predict and Mean Mr Mustard look the best alternatives. The market should guide in the 3.00 but it should concern London Bid, Syvilla and Siyabona. In the 3.30 Le Toreador looks one step ahead of the handicapper and can go in again. Barraland is the other interesting runner. The 4.00 is a race that needs a bit of studying. At the moment I am interested in Guertino, Mansii and Gunfighter. The 4.30 should go to Heritage Coast, but Manalito should step up on return run. In the last we like the look of Thornaby Green who has dropped to a very low mark following a couple of poor efforts after a long break. Alberts Story and Dan Tucker are others to catch the eye at the weights.

Could have been better as in fact 5 previous selections won on saturday. We are looking forward to Newmarket in mid-week, but today's racing is pretty dour. However there are a couple that may go well, the first is Astrodome in 4.00 at Brighton. Sir Mark has hit top form and this one showed vast improvement last time and this is a weak race. The second one is a speculative choice in the 7.00 at Windsor Impressionist Art. Bryan Meehan's filly is very well realted and the stable won the race last year witha newcomer.

Three previous selections won on saturday including Lovelace( I was on the right lines in that race but picked the wrong Johnston horse). Still we managed one winner. Sunday is tough but we have come up with a couple. The first is Enodoc in the 5.00 at Brighton. He has slipped to a very handy mark of 65 and he showed signs of a form revival last time out. Frascati Park is an interesting runner in the bumper at Market Rasen. He fetched 60 thousand guineas in the December sales and is related to numerous winners.

Two odds on winners...... We prefer to go for the bigger priced selections and today we have a couple that may go close. Prince Of Light in the 2.40 at Sandown is our first choice. We have given this one in the past as he is on a really tempting mark if running anywhere near his best. In the 5.50 at Haydock we like the look of Sacrilege. David Elsworth's charge is steadily getting the hang of things and with improvement to come he could be on a decent mark.

The trainer has had plenty of debutante winners this season and this could be another. In the 4.30 at Catterick old favourite Hotham could be ready to go in after just getting pipped in a slightly better race last time.

Let's see if we can carry it on today. Nothing catches the eye in the afternoon but there are two interesting runners at Thirsk. The first is Elk Trail in the 7.50. Tom Tate's charge didn't have the pace for seven furlongs last time out but his run at Redcar has worked out really well and today's mile could be ideal. Classic Encounter is the second choioce in the 8.50. David Simcock's gelding has some excellent form in the past and has dropped back to a decent mark.

Excellent pick Basil with Frozen Fire, let's hope we can start finding a few more winners. Our first selection is Aussie Blue in the 5.15 at pontefract. Richard Whitaker's gelding finished second to a progressive type over course and distance back in May. He is two pound lower this afternoon and has perfect ground conditions. Our second choice runs in the 7.40 at Windsor, Sir Michael's Lindelaan. We gave this one last time out when she was just beaten by an improving filly. The pair were clear of the rest so it could be decent form.

If in doubt go for Stoute, seems to be the motto. He must have a great chance as well with Tartan Bearer in the Irish derby. However we are going to stick with our Epsom selection Curtain Call. He was never going in the English version and we could see a much better effort today. Mutamared in the 2.05 is another selection from the Curragh. Kevin Ryan's charge hasn't had the best of look in recent races, but as a consequence he has dropped down to a tempting mark. At Windsor we will go for Porthole in the 3.40. The Barry Hills trained colt couldn't have won more easily on his return and a mark of 88 doesn't seem too harsh.

Yeah not getting anything right at present, but we keep going and in the feature at Newcastle we do like the look of Tilt. Brian Ellison's charge ran a blinder in the Chester cup when hampered late on. The slight drop in trip will be ideal and we expect a good run. We will give our old favourite Maze another chance in the 3.55. Down to a rating of 95, he does look very well treated on the pick of last season's form. He has been pulling hard in his races but if he settles who knows. Over to Ireland for our final choice, Promising Lead in the 3.45. Sir Michael's runner progressed nicely last season and she has strong claims on her run in the Prix De l'Opera.

Also at Donny we like another Smart runner Prime Spirit in the 3.25. He won well last time and the form was franked yesterday. Our final choice is Writingonthewall in the 4.35. Michael Bell's charge hasn't stayed a mile in his last two races and has subsequently dropped down the ratings.

A nice few days away so refreshed and ready to win some money. To be honest it may take a few days to get back into the form. However we do like the look of Lady Aquataine in the 3.50 at Warwick. She contested some top races last season and only appears to have one horse to beat. In the 4.30 at Newcastle Under The Rainbow looks to have solid claims. The Barry Hills trained filly disappointed at Ascot, but her previous form was solid and does boast the highest rating.

Computer problems. Okay today so let's have a look at friday. In the 3.45 at Ascot Spacious is the selection. She ran a blinder in the Guineas and as she is lightly raced has more scope than most of these. An old favourite Lovelace goes in the 5.30. He is dropping into handicap company after struggling a little in Group three's. His mark of 104 isn't too bad and he can go well under Mick Kinane.

It can only get better. The highlight of day two of Ascot is the Prince Of Wales's stakes at 3.45 and it should go to Duke Of Marmalade. He has done nothing wrong this season and the form has been well franked. O'Brien can also take the Jersey stakes at 2.30 with Jupiter Pluvious. The drop back to seven looks ideal after running out steam in the Irishs Guineas. Heaven Sent could be the one in the 3.05. Sir Michael has a good record in this event and this improving type should be capable of winning a Group two. Lucky Leigh is the final selection. Mich Channon's filly went off at a big price on her debut but won in great style and is obviously expected to improve.
