Scorpion stings the bookies...

Sorry that was a bit corny, but it is was nice to get back on the winning trail. We are hoping to follow up with a few more today. In the Derby the previously mentioned Authorized is of course the pick. So impressive in the Dante and we reckon there is more to come. I was very impressed with Bespoke Boy on his debut and he can give Frankie another winner in the Epsom 2.30. Still with Mr Dettori, Danny reckons Blue Ksar is a good thing in the 3.00. He was very impressive at Lingfield last time out and like most of Godolphin runners he should be fitter for the run.

  • I should have gone and took that 6/4 on offer when you wrote the Derby Preview Noel.

    I also toyed with taking the 8/1 when Tom Segal at Pricewise tipped it up at 8's.

    Dragged my feet, unlike Authorized, and came out a loser, unlike connections and yourself.

    I guess it was nice to see Frankie Dettori get his way, although I can't say i'mm very sentimental about that kind of thing.

  • I was more touched with the trainer who was very emotional. terrific performance though and a great spectacle as usual.
