It's here at last...

We can't wait for the roar of the crowd at around 2.00 as the Cheltenham festival gets underway. Our first selection is in the opener, Sentry Duty. A smart performer on the flat, he beat a highly thought of four-year-old last time out and is open to any amount of improvement. Race two on the card is the Arkle and Noland looks to be a worthy favourite. He is a past winner at the festival and has been brought along quietly by his trainer and should be spot on for this. The final selection for day one is Ashkazar in the Fred Winter. Pipe's runner was so impressive on Saturday against older horses, he must go close up against his own generation.

  • Im starting Chetenham off with a Lucky 15 my local bookies giving 3 times the odds on a single winner...although I hope for more !! :O)

  • Afternoon Jonesy, good luck with your bets today and for the rest of the week. Sentry Duty is my main bet today. But do have some ante-post bets running on Sublimity, although i'm scared of about four or five in the champion.

  • Not a bad start Katchit 10/1 three times the odds =30/1 shame Binocular and Ashkazar was both 2nd would of been a nice treble.

    Tomorrows another day, I'm not sure what the going will be rain is expected but also companied by strong winds again overnight so will wait till the morning before making any selections.
