Some terrific racing for a Sunday...

We have a decent Derby trial at Leopardstown and we will give the vote to Washington Irving. He was badly in need of his seasonal debut and will improve leaps and bounds. In The Poule D'Essai des Poulains (Thats easy for you to say) the 2.50 at Longchamp, we have a sneaky feeling for Yorktown. He bounced back to winning ways in March and may get into a place at a big price. Over the jumps here we like the look of Appollo Creed in the 4.00 at Uttoxeter. It is a very poor race and having not taken to fences he should enjoy the return to the smaller obstacles off what looks a very lenient mark. Finally Valleyofthedolls could be a cut above her rivals in the bumper at 5.00. She has a superb pedigree and hails from a yard that can get one ready first time out.
