A bad day for the blog and a sad day for racing..
George Washington will be sadly missed by racegoers around the world and our thoughts go out to connections.
Just jumps action today but a cracking card at Aintree. I am taking on the Gold Cup winner with Ashley Brook in the 2.40 race. The weight concession should be too much as there are a couple of form lines that suggest Kevin Bishop's charge should have his measure on these terms. My second choice is Naiad Du Misselot in the 3.15. Ferdy Murphy's charge was in good form last season and is bred to get this trip being a half brother to Neptune Collonges and Moustique Du L'Isle. Nothing from Danny today as he as gone to his mate's for a couple of days.
