A good start to the new month..

We will try and continue the good work with three selections on Tuesday. Danny's first choice is Robbmaa in the 2.40 at Warwick. This one was well supported on his debut but was slowly away and very green. There should be plenty of improvement to come. His second choice is Counterclaim in the 3.10. Very similar claims to the first selection having looked very naive on her debut. I like the look of Russki in the 5.10 contest. David Simcock's charge won with plenty hand last time and can follow up this safternoon.

  • nice winner yesterday,but i am a bit peeved
i backed your three selections plus one of my own to manage two winners which is fine:
however later listening to you on sportslive your selections for the races had changed, maybe the rain made you change your selections but an update on the blog would have helped, anyway keep up the selections but flag any changes as soon as possible.

  • To be fair to Noel he usually puts up his selections the night before on the blog, but with Yesturdays weather and goings the tracks can run different and sometimes you have to change your theory even right up to off time, If he is working on Sportslive he probably has no time to update the Blog during his working day. At the end of the day this service is free to use and it does not state anywhere that you have to back Noel and Dannys selections, they are giving opinions.

Also dont forget if your listening to form previews on sportslive sometimes they are written by other members of the team, but broadcasted by others.

  • Well i've no reason to be fair to Noel, in fact if you read past comments i generally pick on him for minor errors on his blog!! However fact remains, Danny & Noel picked 3 horses on the blog 2 of which won.
I was also listening to sportslive radio yesterday and the horse that didn't, win Pont Des Soupirs, was still tipped up on sportslife radio. From this point of view i think Declan your comments are a little harsh.
If memory serves me correctly it was only after the first couple of races that comments were made that altho official going was "good, good to soft in places" the commentators thought the ground was cutting up and more likely to be "good to soft."
Question to Declan: Would your employer allow you to stop working whilst you updated your own personal blog? Remember this blog has nothing to do with sportslive!
Since Noel was working, he couldn't update this blog and to be honest i'm glad he didn't because the two later running horses won!!
I'm sure Noel and Danny both value people's feedback and opinion's but at least be accurate
    Rant over, Regards

  • Hi Declan. I'm not sure what you mean. On the show yesterday I picked all three selections. I did say I was slightly put off by Seasider drifting. Is that what you meant?
