Sorry about Thursday....

Computer problems. Okay today so let's have a look at friday. In the 3.45 at Ascot Spacious is the selection. She ran a blinder in the Guineas and as she is lightly raced has more scope than most of these. An old favourite Lovelace goes in the 5.30. He is dropping into handicap company after struggling a little in Group three's. His mark of 104 isn't too bad and he can go well under Mick Kinane.

  • Hi Noel

    I'm with you on Spacious.

In the 3.05 I like Bronze Cannon who has got great handicap form and expecting to run well stepping up into group company, beat Derby 4th Doctor Fremantle back in April so form looks solid.

I have decided to go with Charlie Farnsbarns in the 4.20 who has alot to find with this field and that reflects the price of it..but one positive is it as the ground it loves last time out was on soft which didn't suit. 22/1 on betfair seems a fair price and I may look to back it for a place aswell.

    Good Luck

  • hi noel
glad your back , i was begining to think i was just leaving messages on your page and you'd nipped off holiday or something and the only person reading them them was me the next day.
yeats was marvellous yesterday, geordieland has improved and instead of getting nearer he was further away than ever. still a great run anyway.
on to today....in the first at ascot i'm finding it really tough to take on the fav, but clutching at straws here we go.

Danidh Dubai took on the colts last time which isn't easy for a filly and managed to beat seaway a head.
seaway of course went on to run a close second to himalaya, the pair 5 lengths clear. himalaya then went on to run well in the coventry at ascot on tuesday coming in fourth only 2 and a half lengths behing art connoisseur.
well there you are, as i said clutching at straws a bit, but hey! beats backing the short priced fav and at 33/1 must be worth a sniff e/w.
    all the best
    basil
