Another winner for Dan

End of our first week and what a great start. Danny hit winning form with Prime Defender and had a profitable each-way selection in Putra Square. Astroangel ran well to finish second to a much improved performer, so no disgrace there.
Anyway into the second week and Danny has a couple for Thursday. His first goes in the 4.20 at Newmarket, the Andre Fabre trained Manduro. This one kept decent company last season and deserves to pick up a prize of this nature. The trainer has a terrific record with his British visitors and I have to side with Danny here. Danny's second selection is Regal Flush in the 5.30, an impressive maiden winner last season who looks on a fair mark for his handicap debut. My money today will be on Yaqeen in the 4.55 race, not really my selection but put forward by Bud Davies, a pretty shrewd judge. Richard Hills has commented that this is one of the best milers he has sat on and he has obviously ridden plenty of decent performers. It has already been nibbled at for the 1000 Gns and so a big run is expected tomorrow.

  • Manduro hacked up at 6/4. Millard napped it too, played the bugle and everything.

Carry on like this and the bookies will buy this blog from you and close it.

  • Nearly 3 out of 3 if only the last of your selections hadn't gone off a straight line. But great stuff yet again.

    Cheers mate

  • Is that Millard copying me again? The price of Yaqeen was a bit poor, the sporting life site had it as 6/1 last night, but a winner is a winner.
    Thanx again for your comments
