Macarthur melts, but Dan's on fire!

Two out of two for Dan on Sunday, but Macarthur was a shade disappointing, but possibly down to jockey error.
Enough of that, onto Monday's action and it is a busy day with five meetings. Ponty is our local track and we have three selections from this venue. The boy in form fancies Always Best in the 2.40. Mark Johnston doesn't often leave this track without having a winner and this one hasn't been harshly treated by the handicapper and should be suited by this track. Danny also likes the chances of Viking Spirit in the 3.10, it should be a decent price so each-way betting is recommended.
My Ponty selection is Aslan in the maiden at 4.10. It is speedily bred and Tim Easterby has won with this type in the past. The market should guide, but if around 8/1 or higher we suggest each-way betting.
Just one for Danny in the evening and that is Mystic Dancer in the 7.35 at Windsor. This one hails from the in form Michael Stoute yard and looks to have little to beat. Meanwhile I like the look of Lovelace in the 6.25. This son of Royal Applause comfortably beat a horse currently rated 89. So off his current mark he could be thrown in here on his handicap debut.

1 Comments:

  • Mystic Dancer I think maybe Dettori went a little to early on this one.
Lovelace looked to be going well but just not good enough in the end.
