We have three for Monday the first is Bakbenscher for Danny in the 3.30 at Uttoxeter. This is a well bred newcomer from a strong yard. His second choice is Presenting Copper in the 1.40 at Warwick. This one jumped well last time and can improve further to take this. I am going for Scientific in the 2.20 at Wolves. This is his easiest task to date and only appears to have one to beat.

A poor end to the year.
Let's see if we can recoup recent losses with a couple today. Coe is a strong fancy for us both in the 3.40 at Haydock. We saw this one win impressively at Wetherby recently and with ground and trip ideal he should go in again. Miss Brush is an interesting one in the 2.15 at Lingfield. This one was a decent juvenile and hails froma yard that can ready one after a break.

Off the mark again...
Let's see if we can find a few on Saturday. Danny's first choice is Emerald Wilderness in the 1.00 at Newbury. This looks the form horse having chased home two decent types. His second choice is Razor Royale who ran well in a strong Cheltenham race last time out and is still open to improvement. I am going to stick with Dynamo Dave in the 2.00 at Lingfield. We selected this one last time and it was well supported. He ran green and should improve.

A late update after a boozy day on Thursday.
Kayceecee in the 1.30 at Leicester is my first choice. Henry Daly's charge ran a great race first time out this season and a repeat of that effort should be good enough today. Rankayo Hitam in the 1.10 at Lingfield is Danny's selection. This expensive purchase ran well on debut in a decent race and should improve. My second choice is Orpsie Boy in the 2.45 at Lingfield. On earlier form this one doesn't look badly treated and looks the pick of the Littmoden pair.

No Danny yesterday...
He was a bit ill yesterday, but he is back today with two horses. In the 12.40 at Kempton he has gone for Indicible. Alan King has a good line to juvenile form and this one will not have to be special. His second choice is Lennon in the 3.05 at Wetherby. This one is a top performer and should improve for recent effort. Ashkazar in the 2.40 at Chepstow is my only strong choice. We gave it last time when scooting home from a decent type.

Back to business
Hope you have all had a superb christmas and let's hope we are clear headed enough to pick some winners. In the 12.55 at Huntingdon I have gone for Noble Sham. David Pipe's charge is open to any amount of improvement following a promising effort last time. I know it isn't too big a price, but a safe each-way bet could be Racing Demon in the Kempton 2.30. Conditions and track should suit and if he avoids making any mistakes he could make it difficult for the more fancied contenders. More from Danny soon.

Just the Irish today.
We don't know enough about the runners to make any selections. So this is it for a few days. It just leaves us to thank you all for supporting the blog over the last eight months, and we hope you have a very Merry Christmas and we will be back on boxing day.

Another terrific Saturday..
Ascot is the highlight and Danny has two at the Berkshire venue. His first is Fundamentalist in the 12.30 at Ascot. He would have have gone close last time but for a bad blunder, he can make amends today. Jack The Giant is also Dan's choice in the 2.15. He took advantage of a low hurdles mark last week and a six pound penalty may not be enough to stop the follow up. Regal Heights in the 12.20 at Haydock is my only selection. This one is rated a lot higher over fences and is one of three McCain runners.

Good news on the weather front...
No meetings called off today and so four selections. Danny has gone for Bermuda Pointe in the 1.05 at Ascot. This one ran well in what seemed a strong contest last time and looks on a fair mark. His second choice is Kornati Kid in the 1.20 at Uttoxeter. Phillip Hobbs' runner is steadily geting the hang of things and doesn't appear to have much to beat. I like the look of Taikoo in the 12.20 at Southwell. Hughie Morrison's charge wasn't given a hard time on debut and should improve. Coleorton Dancer is given one more chance in the 2.40. He s very well handicapped at present and has gone close against better company.

Dan again keeps us ticking over..
He has gone for one at Exeter on Thursday. The first is Soliya in the 1.20. This one returned to winning form in great style last time out, beating a decent field and can go in again. I have gone to Ludlow for my selection, Vinmix De Bessy in the 1.40 race. Gary Moore's runner has come up against the improved O'Toole on hs last two outings and hasn't been disgraced.

The weather hits us again..
Hopefully no problems at Newbury where Danny likes a couple. Earth Planet is his choice in the 2.40 race. The Nicholls runner was a decent bumper horse and is expected to do well at this game. He's also going for Group Captain, a top class performer on the flat and now with a yard in cracking form. I think it is pretty hard today so just one speculative choice for me Herb Paris in the 2.15 at Lingfield. This one ran much better than the form figure suggest last time out and has first time blinkers.

Poor ground at Plumpton
Not making excuses but the tacky ground seemed to be against our two runners yesterday. Anyway lets hope Folkestone goes ahead as we have two selections from the Kent venue. Danny has gone for Bormo in the 12.30. Alan King's charge has apparently improved a lot since a promising debut in a better contest than this. Equity Release also takes on lesser opposition in the 1.00 race and both Danny and I reckon this one should go well. In the 2.40 at Southwell I think Pawan could finally win again. It was a good effort over course and distance last time out and similar effort should be good enough today.

Excellent profit on Sunday...
We have three selections for Monday, first of all Bedlam Boy for Danny in the 1.00 at Ayr. As Dan told me if this decent hurdler jumps fences, he wins. His second choice is Pauillac in the 12.50 at Plumpton. This is a tougher race than last time but he won with a bit in hand and should improve. I am also heading to Plumpton and going for the Gary Moore trained Sahf London in the 3.25. This one ran well in a strong race at Sandown and should come on a bundle for that seasonal debut.
Shame about Musselburgh
Just Kempton to go at today and we have just two selections. Danny has gone for Evident Pride in the 1.30 race. A nice winner last time and the handicapper hasn't been too harsh. I have plumped for My Jeanie in the 3.30. This is a very weak handicap and the selection ran well against better company last season, off higher marks.

A great card at Cheltenham..
We could get a few more festival pointers and Danny reckons Franchoek can confirm his position at the head of the Triumph hurdle betting with a victory in the 12.20. He also likes the look of New Little Bric in the 2.40 race. This one progressed well last season and should improve on his promising return. Saintsaire rarely runs two races alike, but if repeating his recent effort at Newbury he will be hard to beat today. This is my only selection, he runs in the 12.55.

A boring day for me.
With Huntingdon called off not muich interest for me yesterday, let's hope Cheltenham is okay. We have just th two selections. Danny has gone for Jack The Giant in the 2.30 race. Nicky Henderson's charge improved leaps and bounds over fences last season and gets in here on a very low mark. My choice this afternoon is Snap Tie in the 3.40, who is weighted to reverse recent running with Imsingingtheblues, and these two look to be the main contenders.

It's getting colder..
Weather permitting we have four selections today. I have a sneaky feeling for Bally Conn in the 2.00 at Huntingdon. On breeding this one should be a decent type and ran well last time before a mistake. He has been well backed on most occasions and one day he will show his true ability. I have also selected Calaficial in the 3.30 race. Alan King's charge was very green on debut and coul improve enough to win this. Danny has gone for Templer in the 2.50 at Taunton. The Hobbs' runner wasn't beaten far in a similar event last time out and has the assistance of a decent claimer. His second choice is Not Left Yet in the 3.50 race. This one didn't handle Cheltenham on his final run last season, but was a smooth winner the time before. He goes well fresh and can give weight and a beating to these rivals.

Shame about Hexham..
It was a good card there today and we had a couple of selections, but never mind we have two more. Danny has gone for Spring Dream in the 1.40 at Leicester. Alan King does well with this type and the form horses look nothing special. My only runner is Diarius in the 3.10 race. Lucy Wadham is in good form and this one ran well last time under a tender ride.

We're back....
After a miserable November we are back in profit and hopefully we can stay there. We have three for Tuesday, the first is an each-way chance for me Christian Bendix in the 12.30 at Southwell. It is up against a couple of in form horses, but has won off a higher mark and is very overpriced at the forecast 25/1. Danny's first choice is Mutual Friend in the 12.40 at Fontwell. A decent performer for Ed Dunlop on the flat, he would have gone very close on his debut but for a mistake late on. Dan also likes the look of Auroras Encore in the 2.20 at Sedgefield. This one was just touched off in a good race at Wetherby last time out and should appreciate the longer trip.
Just a reminder of beautiful sunny days at Ripon in the summer, while I scrape the ice off the car.

Nice to have a couple of winners...
Let's see if we can continue the form on Monday. We have two each today, Danny's first is Knight Valliant in the 12.20 at Musselburgh. Howard's newcomer was no world beater on the flat but looks the type to well at this game. His second choice is Afram Blue in 1.30 at Lingfield. This one continues in good form and ran well in what looked a stronger race last time out. My first choice is Maybe I Wont in the 2.00 at Lingfield. He has come up against some decent types recently and should be capable of winning against this modest opposition. The final selection is Bauhaus Bourbon in the 2.30 at Lingfield. This one was well supported on debut and showed enough promise to warrant plenty of respect today.
One highlight from Wetherby, Nevertika coming home clear in the Novice Chase.
Sorry we are late...
Still no phone line, b*****y BT. Anyway on to Sunday. Having been able to study for 30 minutes my token selection is Just Intersky in the 1.00 at Lingfield. Vince Smith's charge has dropped to a decent mark and ran his best race of the season last time out. Danny has looked for a little longer and has come up with Hold The Gold n the 1.30 at Lingfield. It is hard to believe this is stil a maiden after some very good efforts. His second choice is Delray Beach in the 1.50 at Kelso. Murphy continues in great form and this one can improve and confirm recent running with Gettingbybutonlyjust
Danny at Wetherby on Saturday.I don't know why he is smiling it was p*****g it down and he had 7 losers

Still BT problems...
So very quick update. Danny likes the impressive winner The Tother One in the 1.30 at Sandown. At the same meeting I am plumping for European Dream in the 3.10 race. This one improved on the flat and was unlucky last time out. I also like the classy Ashwell in the 12.10 at Wetherby.

Still no phone line...
So not much chance to look at today's racing. However I do agree with Danny in the 330 at Lingfield with Petrovitch. This one ran off a mark of 100 last time out and gets into this race with 85. One poor run on the all-weather can be forgiven and the forecast price of 16/1 is ridiculous. Self Respect is Danny's other choice in the 1.35 at Exeter. Alan King's charge made a very pleasing chase debut and should improve.

Computer problems.
Storms have knocked out my phone line so just a quick update on borrowed machine. Danny's gone for Ashkazar in the 3.40 at Wincanton. This Group one performer on the flat can make a winning debut. In the 3.20 at Market Rasen Conservation could have got in here on a decnet mark. He was a decent performer on the flat and has obviously shown plenty at home as he has been well backed in his three hurdle races. Fresh Mint in the 8.50 is improving all the time and can g in again.

Good priced winner...
6/4 not too big but it should have been an even money chance. On to Wednesday and acouple for Danny. The first is Johnny Roache in the 12.30 at Ayr. Howard Johnson's charge wasn't beaten far in a slightly better race at Musselburgh back in January and the stable are in much better form at present. He goes for a Johnson double with Teenage Idol in the 3.30. This one boasts a decent pedigree and should love the ground. Just one for me at Kempton in the 7.20 Her Name Is Rio. Stan Moore's runner is well in on official ratings and came back top form last time out.

No joy on Monday...
Danny's back with a couple for Tuesday. The first is Confidentiality in the 3.00 at Wolverhampton. This one just keeps on getting better and may not be finished yet. His second is Jamadiel in the 2.10 at Hereford. This one was in great form last season and unfortunate to come down in his final race when still in contention. I like the look of Empire Dancer in the 3.30 at Wolves. He could be on the way back to his best judged on his last effort.
A quick update.
No Danny again and very little time. So just the two for Monday. Woodins Way in the 1.40 at Wolverhampton. This one ran well in what looked a stronger race at Lingfield last time out. Transvestite also contested a better race last time out and should improve, this one could land the 3.20 at Fakenham.

Denman blows them away...
Very impressive win for the Nicholls superstar and well done to Danny for keeping faith. No selections from the lad on Sunday as he is Brumtown. I have a couple, the first is Sternenzelt in the 1.35 at Newbury. Alan King's charge ran no sort of a race on his return but is much better than that as he showed last season. The second choice is one of my horses to follow, Woolcombe Folly in the 3.45. Tthe trainer thought this one was good enough to make his debut in a top Aintree bumper. He may have too much class for these rivals.
No luck at Newbury...
That was on Friday let's see how we do on Saturday. My only selection is Bohemian Spirit in the 1.35. The Nicky Richards trained hasn't looked fully wound up in two races to date but can go close if repeating the best of last season's form. Danny is a Denman fan and this top performer could be capable of giving weight away in the big one at 2.40. Another old favourite of Danny's runs in the 3.30 at Newcastle Katchit. He looks even better this season and can land this on his way to a crack at the Champion Hurdle.
