Back with the placed horses...

Very close on Wednesday....now on to Thursday, let's hope the weather doesn't ruin things. we have a couple for you at Wincantn. The first is Fiddling Again in the 1.40. This dual bumper winner made a pleasing hurdles debut and should improve enough to beat these. In the bumper at 4.10 we will take a chance with Perkin Warbeck. The stable do well with this type and it is bred to be quite decent.

Not a bad Tuesday...

Let's hope we can continue today.Lago in the 4.30 is the selection by process of elimination. So many can be ruled out because of ground or current form and the selection was an easy winner last time out. Denbera Dancer in the 3.55 at Lingfield is Danny's choice. It has been a bit disappointing in maidens but doesn't look badly treated for his handicap debut.

More time today.

Yesterday's selection blew it at the start let's hope for better luck today. The first selection is Marvellous Dream in the 2.20 at Folkestone. Nicky Henderson has a great record here and this one has always been expected to make a better chaser than hurdler. This doesn't look a very difficult race and she should be capable of beating these. Sole Agent in the 4.20 race is Danny's choice today. Gary Moore's charge has been steadily improving over the larger obstacles and is certainly well in here on his hurdles rating. I also like the look of Commander Vic in the 3.40 at Taunton. David Pipe's charge is one of only a few of these open to improvement and it wasn't a bad effort last time out behind a decent sort.

A very late update.

A little bit busy today but there is one that has caught my eye, Northern Boy in the 4.10 at Wolverhampton. Mick Easterby's runner put in an improved effort over course and distance last time out and could be on the way back to his best.

Not bad for a Sunday.

What a race in Ireland...I have already backed Aitamov for the Champion, but with the stable out of form he cannot be selected today. We will stay in the Emerald Isle though for the first selection Bronx Girl in the 4.00 race. This one has looked in need of her two runs this season but has strong claims on last terms very good form. Endless Intrigue in the 4.30 is another that could go well. Dermot Weld's gelding boasts a superb pedigree and ground and trip will not be a problem. Finally we have one selection at Kelso, Riguez Dancer in the 3.45. Pat Haslam's runner made avery pleasing debut in a decent race and should improve.

What a card at Cheltenham...

But we will start with the big race at Donny the 3.00. Dusky Warbler has been brought along quietly over fences and gets in here on a decent mark. If he can get round without his usual one bad blunder he could go close at a big price. Danny cannot desert Franchoek in the 3.15 at Cheltenham. He loves it round here and will battle all the way up the hill. I also like the look of Glingerbank in the 1.35. A comfortable winner last time out who is open to any amount of improvement.

Not so good at present..

But we will try three selections on Friday. The first is Green Pirate in the 2.15 at Wolverhampton. We went for this one last time and it was a shade unlucky. This is a weak race and he should be capable of winning. The second choice is Apeeyes in the 3.05 at Doncaster. Alan King has won so many of these races with similar types and continues in excellent form. The final choice is Mad Max in the 4.20 at Newbury. Nicky Henderson is another trainer in great form and wins more than his fair share of these events. This one is well bred and if supported take note.

Sorry late again...

Just a couple for Thursday. Danny likes the look of Weather Permitting in the 4.10 at Warwick. This one boasts a nice bumper pedigree and doesn't face too strong a field. I have gone to the all-weather for my selection, Sand Cat in the2.30 at Southwell. He showed signs of a return to form last time out and there couldbe more to come.

Tuesday, January 22, 2008

So near on Tuesday..

On Wednesday we are going to give one more chance to Noble Sham in the 2.10 at Huntingdon. This one was going well when falling last time out and this looks an easier race. We will also take a chance with Brendan Powell's newcomer Kerriemuir Lass in the 2.30 at Musselburgh. This was a decent type on the flat and the booking of Mick Fitzgerald looks significant.

A bit more time today...

But only Southwell to have a go at. We have managed to find a couple with excellent chances. The first is Faithful Ruler in the 2.00 race. He has been staying on well at the end of his races so should be suited by this mile trip and he still looks on a decent mark. Town And Gown looks the one to beat in the 3.30 race. Gosden's filly has made the frame in stronger races than this and the stable has a fifty per cent strike rate with course runners.

Monday, January 21, 2008

Very busy..

So a very quick update. Monsieur Reynard in the 2.50 has a great chance on his debut run last season. in the 3.50 Last Sovereign can make a winnig return in the 3.50.

Sunday, January 20, 2008

Sticking with Kirsty....

She is riding so well and has two great chances today at Wolverhampton. The first is Bold Diva in the 2.50 race. This one was very impressive when winning last time out and could still be ahead of the handicapper. The second choice is Chatshow in the 4.50. He ran well in a decent claimer last friday and is now down to a very winable mark.

Saturday, January 19, 2008

Shame about the rain...

But we still have a cracking card at Ascot and Danny's first choice is Penzance in the 1.10. He looked on the way back to his best last time out and there could be plenty more to come. Dan also likes Labelthou in the 2.55 race. This one jumped badly last time out over fences but was still in with a chance when falling. If his confidence isn't dented he should go well back over hurdles. Orchard Supreme is my choice in the 3.35 at Lingfield. Richard Hannon's charge has come up against some well treated horses on his last few runs and hasn't been disgraced. This looks an easier race and he should go close.

Friday, January 18, 2008

Just one over the jumps at Catterick for Danny, Clemax in the 2.10. Ferdy's charge won impreessively on fast ground last time out, but was also successful on heavy at Ayr last year. He is only seven and should be open to more improvement. I have got a couple at Wolverhampton, the first is Age Of Reason in the 3.30. Mark Johnson's charge was a very impressive winner when last seen and is reported fit for his return. The second one is Victor Trumper in the 4.05 race. This one has had training problems but would have strong claims off this mark on his best form.

Thursday, January 17, 2008

The Carnival begins..

Three seletions today from Dubai, the first is Fiesta Lady in the 4.25. A speedy front runer, she will take some catching round here. Bennie Blue in the 5.0 will appreciate this drop back in trip and has won on the course back in march. Our third choice is Jack Sullivan in he 6.05. An experienced runner round here, he has been running well in good company in the British Isles.

Wednesday, January 16, 2008

Nothing inspires me today..

However Danny has a couple to check out. The first is Hockenheim in the 1.00 at Newcastle. This one was a smart hurdler lst season but has always looked more like a chaser. His second choice is Money Trix in the 2.05. He has a long absence to ovecome but would murder these if back to his best.

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

Go Kirsty...

Miss Milczarek is in the form of her life and has a couple of good chances again this afternoon. The first is Arfinnit in the 3.40 at Kempton. A smooth winner last time out and the form was given a boost by the runner up on Sunday. She should also go close with Mujamead in the 4.10 race. This one has improved over hurdles and should be suited by this longer trip in a modest event.

Sunday, January 13, 2008

Nice winner in Ireland..

No big priced selections on a tough Monday. However there are a couple that we think should win at short odds. The first is Pitful Tercah in the 2.50 at Fakenham. Pipe's runner still looks on a decent mark following two impressive wins. In the 3.50 Gold Award could be another winner for Nicky Henderson. This one is very well bred and doesn't have much to beat.

A terrific card at Leopardstown..

The main selection today runs in the Emerald Isle, Barker in the 2.25. This one has improved leaps and bounds and the form was given a massive boost recently. We also like the look of Sir Overbury in the 3.30. Firstly it is interesting Ruby rides this one instead of a Mullins runner and he certainly has claims on the pick of his past efforts. Don't want to put the mockers on Jonesy, but we also like Hucking Hill in the 2.55 at Kempton. He ran well enough last time and has dropped another couple of pounds.

Saturday, January 12, 2008

Difficult again today...

As usual saturday's are tough but we do have a couple. Danny has gone for Sebastiano in the 2.15 at Kempton. Gary Moore's charge won nicely last time out and can defy the penalty. I have gone for the improving Arnold Layne in the 2.30 at Warwick. Such an impressive winner last time out and the form has worked out well.

Friday, January 11, 2008

Feeling better today..

Let's hope we can find some winners. Danny has gone for Raise Your Game in the 3.20 at Huntingdon. Jonjo's charge is very lightly raced and has shown enough to suggest a mark of 102 is fairly lenient. I have gone for The Old Pretender in the 3.50 at Huntingdon. The stable do well in these type of events. This one cost a fair amount for a bumper horse and Old Vic's progeny do well in these races. Kirsty is getting a winner almost everyday and she looks to have a good chance of landing the 9.20 at Kempton with Mixing. The last run wasn't too good, but previous efforts suggest he should go close in this company.

Man flu strikes....

Hard to concentrate cos I feel grotty. (that's my excuse for poor selections). However there appear to be couple of good things today. Charlie Tokyo in the 1.50 at Catterick is head and shoulders above these on the flat and just needs to be able to jump. The second one is Overstrand in the 2.30 at Hereford. A top handicap hurdler, he showed plenty of promise over fences last time and should improve.

Wednesday, January 09, 2008

Three for Wednesday, the first is Danny's selection in the 1.50 at Lingfield, Denbera Dancer. It has obviously had training problems, but showed enough last year to suggest a race of this nature should be in his grasp. He also likes Woodcraft in the 2.20 at Musselburgh. A decent handicapper on the flat he should go close in a weak contest. I have taken a chance with George Henson in the 2.30 at Kempton. Another that has had a few set backs, but he made is debut in a hot maiden and could be better than these modest opponents.

Tuesday, January 08, 2008

Disappointing start to the week..

But we have some interesting selections today. Danny has gone for Tagula Sunrise in the 3.40 at Southwell. This one ran well against better company during the summer and should go close if handling the surface. Earlier on the card at 2.10 I expect a big run from Guadaloup. Mel Brittain's charge has won off a higher mark than this and should improve on her recent return effort. At Sedgefield I reckon Sunisa could win the 2.00 race. This one loves the ground and ran well on her chase debut in a better race than this.

Sunday, January 06, 2008

Nice to have two winners...

Let's see if we can grab another two on Monday. My first is Malko de Beaumont in the 3.40 at Taunton. This one was an impressive winner at Haydock last time out and a seven pound penalty shouldn't stop the follow up. My second choice is Ingratitude in the 2.00 at Ludlow. This one doesn't look badly handicapped after taking on decent horeses. Nothing from Danny today, he's been too busy watching telly.

Poor effort on Saturday...

On Sunday we have another three selections. The first for Danny is Dickie Le Davoir in the 12.40 at Southwell. A shade disappointing last time but if he repeats his Boxing Day run he will be hard to beat. In the 2.10 at Southwell I like the look of Legend Derry. Jane Chapple-Hyam's runners are in good form and this one still has scope for improvement. Over the jumps Danny has opted for Kavatcha in the 1.55 at Plumpton. This looks a weak affair and if none the worse for a recent tumble he should go close.

Friday, January 04, 2008

Danny stops the rot...

Back with a winner, let's see what we can do on Saturday. Danny's first is Calgary Bay in the 2.40 at Sandown. This one landed a decent event last time out and is going the right way. His second choice is Khasab in the 1.20 at Chepstow. The Hobbs' runner wasn't beaten far in a strong handicap at Haydock last time and still looks on a fair mark. I have gone for Cusp in the 3.00 at Chepstow. He was beaten by an improving type last time and could be spot on for this.

Things going a bit wrong at present..

But let's try and put that right on Friday. Danny has opted for Aigle D'Or in the 220 at Lingfield. This was a Group two performer on the flat and is from a yard that can get one ready first time up. In the 2.10 at Southwell Red Current could be up to landing the spoils. On official ratings she is quite well in and should handle the surface.

Thursday, January 03, 2008

Late again..

Sorry just got out of bed. So once again very quick update. Dan has gone for impressive winner Sou'wester in the 2.20 at Fontwell. I have a couple on the all-weather, firstly Wynberg in the 1.35 at Lingfield, who should be suited by the seven furlongs. My second choice is Den's Gift in the 2.45, who won with plenty in hand last time out.

Wednesday, January 02, 2008

Sorry it's late..

Just a quick update. Two for Danny Kalmo Bay in the 1.10 at Ayr. This one has put in some solid efforts in defeat. His second is old favourite Akilak in the 2.45. He should be capable of winning off a mark of 124. My selection is also at Ayr Poker De Sivola in the 3.15. He didn't stay last time and will love the heavy ground.

Danny saves us again...

Nice couple of winners for the lad on Monday. None from him today as he is nursing a hangover. So just the two for me, the first an old favourite Star De Mohaison in the 2.45 at Cheltenham. A top chaser, he is still 19 pounds lower over the smaller obstacles. The second choice is Clifden Boy in the in the 2.55 at Exeter. Didn't have too much luck in running last time out and is still on a fair mark.
